4th of July Fireworks

The 4th of July had two kinds of fireworks. It started in the afternoon at the Hansen’s with a large thunderstorm. After that had passed we went downtown and watched the man-made fireworks from the roof of the Indianapolis Zoo education building.

The Wedding!

I got to take a lot of group pictures before and after the wedding. We basically took pictures until the last second, so no one had a chance to get nervous. I was part of the wedding party, so I didn’t get to take any pictures of the actual wedding :)

The Camargue

The Camargue is an area of the Mediterranean coast. The elevation varies from 0’ to 6’ above sea level. We went to the beach first, it is odd to be able to walk 150’ out in the water and still be able to stand. Heiko Latsch, one of my coworkers, took all of these pictures with my digital camera. I took a couple rolls of slides that I will post after I get back to the states.

Adventures in cooking!

I really like Japonses food. My favorite thing to eat is Kissimaki. It is like sushi, but it contains fried shimp instead of raw fish. This being my first attempt at making it (and doing food photography), things did not turn out perfectly :) Earlier in the day I bough a small tripod, and so I wanted to use it. Unfortunately it is really too short for doing these food shots.

Climbing Mount Sainte Victoire

My original plans for hiking on this day fell through, so I went up Mount Sainte Victoire. It has a peak of about 915M (3000 feet). It took about 2 hours to get up and one and half to get back down.

Tour of the Med

One of my coworkers was returning to the states in a week, and she wanted to spend a day touring the Mediterranean coast. I tagged along with both of my cameras. About half of the pictures are digital, and the rest a mix of regular film and slide film. I was massively unimpressed by the quality of the photo CD transfer (The pictures that start with caf).

Aix at Night.
